My plan is to create a digital painting to display on this page. I've no idea of what I'll create but, I know it needs to have a lot of detail. My favorite genre is Sci-fi. Maybe, I might do something out the ordinary for me and create imagery that people usually don't think of as science fiction. I don't know. I have at least until the last couple of days of the month to finish this.

Deadline: March 28, 2008.

Not sure about the Brief. That will become apparent as I nail down what it is I want to create and how I want to present it.

I've come up with something after all.
The Brief:

1. Must sell a product of some kind.

2. Must have at least two characters shown.

3. Create an image of a beautiful summer day.

4. Aim advertising at the 16 to 22 year old demographic by using colors that appeal to
that age group.

painting and preliminary sketches: Adobe Photoshop 7.

Since this is a prints account I'll only post any preliminary sketches in .ZIP files. That way if anyone is interested you can look at my process. I plan to organize my gallery so all the .ZIP files will be in a separate folder from the rest of the gallery.

Maybe, I should look online for briefs for artists and illustrators to work from for my next painting. Hmmm, maybe I'll do that. My briefs will usually have a specific purpose in mind. I need to think like a marketing expert when doing these things. Commercial Art is first and foremost designed to sell a product, service, or, idea. So, I need to learn how to market myself better.
